Hired as a full-time User Support Specialist for Covalence Coated Products following initial consultant role to provide technical and application support. Primary responsibilities included LAN administration, user support of desktop operating systems and applications, monitored system performance, tested and evaluated software, trained users, installed and performed repairs of hardware, software, and peripheral equipment. In addition, conducted computer diagnostics to determine nature of problems and provided technical assistance. Served as a technical resource to Manager, Division Controller, and other management and department members.
Key Accomplishments
- Acted as first line of defense for all Information System related issues for 2 data-centers, 5 corporate facilities, and remote sales offices.
- Created and tended corporate IT policies and procedures, and distributed polices that align with business objectives to all levels of the organization.
- Assisted company in successful obtainment of SOX certification; served as Policy Maker/Assessor/Tester.
- Executed quarterly internal SOX security reviews; disabled NT/Exchange accounts of terminated employees and account cleanup.
- Initiated ideas and solutions for improved and streamlined processes; enhanced control procedures within department.
