Hired as a Product Specialist 2 Consultant for the Virginia Housing Development Authority (VHDA) to provide expert support to ITS users, employ a high degree of customer service, technical expertise and timelessness, and acted as second-level support to the Help Desk staff for desktop issues and for desktop and network integration issues. Primary responsibilities included troubleshoot and resolve client problems, maintain problem status/resolution information in Magic Service Desk, and configure, install and maintain desktop hardware and software, and installation and support of network printers. In addition, mentored and trained Associate Desktop Support Analyst on technology issues and help desk procedures, provided assistance with telecommunication hardware, software, and network issues, and researched uncommon problems to identify best solutions. Served as a technical resource to Help Desk, users, management, ITS Librarian, and the Assets & Data Coordinator.

Key Contributions:

  • Furnished advanced knowledge of MS Office 2003; educated and provided tailored post-deployment training to 350+ users.
  • Operated Group Policy Management Console; managed MS Office 2003 policy template and configured per-user/per-computer policies.
  • Configured and used MS Office Custom Maintenance Wizard; deployed custom installation of MS Office 2003 and restored default user settings.
